We've been working with the Treasure Island Divers crew for years & they've always treated our clients like family. You'll love diving with them. They know how to relax & have fun without being careless. Their guides are the best scuba diving professionals on Grand Cayman, pure & simple.
Now let's look at the lodging. Grand Cayman diving does not come cheaply, we have to be frank. In fact, Cayman is one of the most expensive islands in the Caribbean region for meals, entertainment & sundries. That's because everybody wants to go to Cayman during peak seasons. And that's because the island is so friendly & the scuba diving is so wonderfully easy. Simple supply & demand rules. So we searched far & wide to find high-quality economy lodging that was close to the beach & the dive shop.
Treasure Island Resort is a beautiful 3-star luxury hotel. Among the many charms here are spacious decks, verandas & clean, hospitably decorated rooms, a spacious clean swimming pool, plus an ultra-helpful staff & a happening little lounge.
Close to your hotel are some of the best classic watering holes in the Caribbean, several places so cool & old-fashioned in their simple comforts you half expect to see Bogie saunter in some night with tropical hat pulled down over one eye, swirling a rum & Coke.
Cayman Inn & Resort considers itself a "Dedicated Diver's Resort," & the title is apt. The resort is owned & operated by people who love scuba diving. The full-service dive shop is open 7 days a week to serve scuba enthusiasts better. Each room gets its own waterfront diving locker -- no more schlepping wet gear back & forth! What's more, nearly all rooms have mini-kitchenettes, a queen bed & a single bed on the side.
Now since scuba vacations are not totally about diving, there's more to this locale! Treasure Island Resort is located a short distance out of Georgetown; & therefore only a moderate stroll away from the sugar sands of Seven Mile Beach. Along this main drag you'll find umpteen fun spots to play & spend money (be careful!) after your dive day is done. The temptations are many. But what the heck, it's your vacation, right?
The Treasure Island Resort is small, built in classic breezy Caribbean style, with
an ambiance that's "caj & cool mon." Yet each hotel offers many of the
amenities & comforts of large hotels, including a lovely waterfront dining
room & some of the best mixed drinks on the island. And the prices are, bar
none, the best on Grand Cayman. The numbers speak for themselves.
Try Treasure Island Resort, you'll see they are not just more of that hilarious frothy hype
from Brand X Dive Magazine. This place delivers the fun, the savings, & the
chance to meet some really interesting, laid-back people – just like you.
Bargain lodging of this quality & high level of service is, we are sad to
report, gradually disappearing in the well-visited sectors of the Caribbean. And
if you are keen on Grand Cayman diving, the research shows clearly there are no
hotels that can come close to these prices + outstanding service values. Give
'em a try, mon!

Treasure Island Resort offers 277 well-appointed guestrooms. All feature a private patio or balcony, central air conditioning, ceiling fan, color satellite TV, mini-refrigerators, full bathrooms, direct dial telephone with dataport and voice mail, in-room safe (at an additional charge) and a choice of either a king size bed or two queen size beds.
Three main categories of rooms are offered at TREASURE ISLAND RESORT
:Seven Mile Beach is world renowned for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear water (150 foot visibility), incredible reefs with abundant marine life and amazing dive sites which include ship wrecks and underwater caves.
Treasure Island Resort sits at the beginning of the Seven Mile Beach, which has lured seafarers and vacationers for generations. Just off the beach at Treasure Island you will find an underwater world of unparalleled beauty. At one of the island's many reefs you may come face to face with a curious grouper or an iridescent queen angel fish. The white sandy beach begins just 100 yards north of the resort and will continue for 7 miles, giving the beach its famous name.
Treasure Island Resort boasts 3 fresh water swimming pools, 3 whirlpools and a children's wading pool, set within its lush tropical property.
ATHENA'S GREEK TAVERNA & PIZZERIA is the latest addition to the resort. Smaller and intimate, with romantic murals and sculptures, this restaurant prides itself on it's traditional Greek and international cuisine. Athena's is open daily for lunch and dinner.
HOOK'S SEAFOOD & SUSHI is the resort's main restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. To describe Hook's as having a mere pirate theme is an understatement. The unique design and motif was created to provide a comfortable atmosphere as well as that essential touch of fantasy. Its interior is set against a background of rich purples and blues, huge murals of galleons in sail, Pre Raphaelite bathing beauties and Father Neptune vie with guilded suits of armor, cherubs chandeliers, mermaids and treasure chests. This restaurant was built in 1998. The menu is diverse and is sure to please most palates although the Restaurant's specialty is high quality seafood at a reasonable price.
HOOK'S LOBBY BAR is located at the heart of the resort making it the most popular gathering place for resort guests to relax. Every evening (except Sunday) the island sounds of steel drums can be heard and Monday evenings, complimentary rum punch and hors d'oeuvres are served in the spirit of true Caymanian hospitality.

Church St. and two small ones on Cayman Brac (Galleria Marianne and Simone's Art in Spot Bay) featuring local and Caribbean art. IMPORTANT REMINDER about PRICES & TARIFFS:
All dive package prices listed here are subject to possible change in this steadily evolving travel market. Lodging, side tour & scuba diving prices are traditionally stable, while air prices can fluctuate daily. Until air tickets are issued, all airlines reserve the right to change airfares without notice -- an industry standard per FAA rules. We at U.S. Dive Travel will price-protect you to the utmost of our professional ability; & that has been our pledge for one decade now. Our tropical vacation experts normally secure excellent wholesale discount air tickets for our dive package clients who book early enough to secure limited seats in the best price categories. Remember please, the federal government has deregulated all U.S.-based airlines, so only they control their pricing -- not any travel professionals. Early is good when seeking the best air ticket rates.Unless specifically noted, these above scuba diving packages are prices for only the land-based portion of the dive resorts, in most cases reflecting double-occupancy rooms. At many dive resorts, there will be no triple-occupancy rooms offered. Some exceptions will be noted. International air tickets & commuter "island-hopper" seats are always extra above these land costs. Nominal service fees are also extra for air tickets & the vessel + side tour components. The baseline tariffs for all clients start at $35 per person for the land portion + $20 pp for the air tickets. Late-booking clients may receive slightly higher tariffs on the lodging + diving at many of our dive resorts.
The preferred payment mode for all of our dive resorts, side tours & air ticket specials is by cashier's check or wire transfer in U.S. dollars. All clients living outside the USA or Canada will need to pay for their dive vacations via direct wire transfer only. No personal checks or credit cards will be accepted for the land portion of any reservation. Thank you for your gracious understanding. Our service level is the highest & our prices the lowest in this industry, & thus we need to preserve a reasonable margin. For published-fare air ticket bookings, USDT always accepts Visa & Mastercard. For ultra-discount wholesale air tickets, USDT accepts only cashier's checks or wire transfers, please.
Remember, dive vacation clients to all foreign destinations will be asked by local officials overseas, upon departing the airport on your final day, to pay a nominal government departure tax, usually between USD $35 - $40 per client. USDT cannot collect this tax beforehand, so you simply pay it down there, in your host country. Be sure to stash away a little cash for this final moment at the airport, so you'll get your exit visa stamped quickly with no fuss; & away you go. Best of luck with all your dive trips. We hope your scuba diving vacation is a safe & satisfying adventure. Blessings & best wishes with ALL your dive vacations.
Best fishes too!
